CPD for Managers

Continuing Professional Development 2004/2005

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a mandatory requirement for IHM members. All IHM sponsored events assist in meeting this requirement. CPD certificates of attendance will be provided on request to all participants for inclusion in their CV portfolios.

In addition, IHM provide a range of 18 CPD modules to develop managers' generic skills and competencies. Targeted at individual middle managers across the NHS (including general practice) they provide an excellent distance learning opportunity consistent with a reasonable work/life balance. Examples include:

  • Getting the Best out of Others
  • Managing Poor Performance
  • Managing Change
  • Using Resources Effectively
  • Managing Projects
